A fluffy, colorful and, most importantly, warm blanket is a must-have for a preschooler's layette. Indispensable during reclining in the nursery, but not only. A decent blanket will come in handy for home naps and family trips, it can also serve as a play mat. And also as a bedspread for a bedded bed, thanks to which it will gain an aesthetic appearance, and at the same time it will be pleasant for the child to lie down or sit on it.
What should be the blanket for a preschooler?
In order for a blanket to really help a baby fall asleep and provide a comfortable, safe rest, it must meet a number of requirements. First, should not be thin and single-layered. After all, it is supposed to replace the quilt when sleeping at home or in the nursery. Covered with it, the preschooler must be warm.
The second important point is that the blanket is in direct contact with the baby's skin. So in addition to the fact that it should be soft and pleasant to the touch, must also be non-sensitizing. It should also absorb moisture well. As with other baby products, the blanket should also be certified that no harmful substances were used in its production.
Third, blanket for preschooler should be durable. After all, it will be heavily used, soiled and washed many times. It is important, therefore, that over time it does not lose its softness, does not get wrinkled or ripped. That's why it's worth spending more on a high-quality blanket that will serve your child for years, instead of constantly buying new ones.
Fourth, given that it is best to just buy a good blanket for years, it must not be too small. Preschoolers grow so fast. So a blanket measuring one meter by one and a half meters will be a good option.
Fifth, let's not forget attractive design of the blanket. And at the same time about the fact that it is to please not only the parents, but, above all, the preschooler himself. It is he who will wrap himself in the blanket to sleep and play on it.
